The Uvex kid 4 Style MIPS helmet is the ideal companion for adventurous children and provides reassuring safety for parents. This helmet is designed for both cycling and mountain biking and offers optimal protection with its robust ABS hard shell and shock-absorbing EPS construction. Thanks to the integrated MIPS safety system, rotational forces are effectively absorbed in the event of a fall, providing an additional safety bonus.

With the patented UVEX IAS system, which allows for individual adjustment via integrated torque limitation and a height-adjustable 360 degrees full ring, the helmet always fits perfectly and comfortably. Ten ventilation openings and comfortable inner padding guarantee a pleasant wearing climate, while the one-handed UVEX monomatic closure with extended padding offers additional comfort.

The helmet is equipped with reflective straps and a mount for an optional rear light to increase visibility in traffic. A practical detail is the option to securely store a Hiplok Z LOK lock in the helmet shell, which further increases safety. The UVEX kid 4 Style MIPS is therefore the perfect protection for little adventurers in the urban jungle.

TECHNOLOGIES

MIPS – MIPS is an acronym for Multi-Directional Impact Protection System and represents an innovative technology that can be used to equip helmets for a variety of different purposes. MIPS was designed to make helmets safer in oblique impact situations, both in recreational and outdoor sports (climbing, mountain biking and motorbike riding) but also in the workplace. In practical terms, MIPS is a moving layer that is integrated on the inside of the safety helmet – close to the head. The sliding layer is not rigidly fixed but can move back and forth by 10 to 15 millimetres. In the event of lateral impact, this range of motion enables the helmet design to deflect acting rotational forces from the wearer’s head and brain using a sliding movement. Safety helmets that are equipped with MIPS therefore offer a higher level of protection for the helmet wearer than conventional helmets.

Please measure your head circumference to get the right helmet size. Recommended to measure with a measuring tape or a rope about 1.5cm above the ears.
