BlackChili Compound - it’s all about how you mix it crucial balance. The rolling properties of the rubber compound of a tyre are primarily determined by three interacting factors – stiction [grip], rolling resistance and mileage [longevity] . The dilemma: If you improve any of these factors it can have a detrimental effect on at least one of the others. A tyre with maximum grip wears quicker and rolls more slowly. If you then make a tyre roll faster and more durable, grip, in turn, is reduced.

The ProTection technology - gives Continental tires their perfect mix of fast rolling, grip and puncture protection. Four plies under the tread and three in the sidewalls make this possible. The whole tire attains greater resilience and becomes less vulnerable to damage.

PolyX Breaker - CUT AND PUNCTURE PROOF With PolyX Breaker car expertise comes to the bicycle tire sector. Polyester has been used successfully for years in car tires and has proved extremely effective. The extremely resistant polyester fibre is woven tightly crosswise. A very high fabric density is achieved which makes the breaker resistant not only to foreign bodies, but especially to punctures.The rolling resistance is not affected by this breaker.
