The SmartGuard offers superior puncture protection. Good visibility even in the dark thanks to reflective strips on the sidewalls.
You can never completely rule out a puncture. However, with the Marathon Plus bicycle tyre you are well protected against typical puncture devils such as shards or granules. Always use a pressure gauge to set the air pressure on all Marathon Plus tyres. Due to the special construction, a thumb pressure test is not sufficient.

ADDIX - Very durable as well as versatile rubber compound for MTB tires with good rolling characteristics and plenty of grip.
UNPLATTBAR - Most effective protection belt available for bicycle tires. A substantial, 5 mm thick layer of flexible, special india rubber offers durable protection. Works also for objects that lodge in the tread. Even a thumbtack wonяt harm it.
SMART DUAL GUARD - This protective belt of highly elastic special rubber in combination with a 4 mm thick protective insert and 2 layers of nylon fabric (Race Guard) gives the tire its enormous puncture resistance.
ECE-R75 (E-50) - Tires bearing the ECE-R75 test mark are approved for bicycles up to 50 km/h.
