Kids bicycles

As the child grows, so does his or her bicycle starting with the very first one. Pedalling can be too difficult for the smallest ones, so balance bicycles are usually recommended. Then according to the age, and even better and more accurate - according to height, you can choose from 12”, 14”, 16”, 18”, 20”, and finally 24” bicycles for teenagers. Children’s bicycles are usually equipped with support wheels and a push handle to make it easier to learn to ride. Also chain and handlebar guards that will protect the child from possible injuries. Children’s bicycles are colorful and often have additional accessories/decorations. Therefore, when choosing a bicycle, the most important thing is that it should be liked and suitable for the child. The manufacturers of children’s bicycles that we offer are UNIBIKE, MERIDA, ROMET, PUKY, and MONTERIA.

From a balance bicycle to a regular bicycle for a child
Balance bicycles are a child’s first bicycle designed to teach a child to maintain balance. These bicycles do not have pedals - they are ridden by pushing it forwards while pushing your legs back. While riding a balance bicycle, the focus is on maintaining balance, the basics of normal bicycle control are developed this way. Bicycles are intended for children between the ages of 1.5 and 3 years. We can offer various types of German PUKY and CUBE balance bicycles for children.

Kick scooters are colorful children’s vehicles suitable for children from 2 years old. Three-wheeled kick scooters are recommended for children between ages of 2 to 4 years, where a pair of wheels is in the front and the other wheel is in the back. Such kick scooters are more stable, so they are perfect for acquiring the first skills. Larger tricycles are suitable for children from 6 years of age. Two-wheeled kick scooters are best suited for children from ages 3 and up, while larger kick scooters are best suited for children between ages of 4 and 8, and older. This type of kick scooter is more maneuverable, faster, and suitable for children who already know how to ride. In any case, when choosing a particular kick scooter, it is recommended to check the height/age that it is suitable for. In our range you will find KIDZ MOTION and German PUKY kick scooters. How are children’s bicycles chosen? The most important criterion for choosing a children’s bicycle is probably the child’s height.

12 inch bicycles - suitable for children with the height of ~75-90 cm, approximately 1.5-4 years old. These children’s bicycles are usually equipped with support wheels, an auxiliary handle that helps to hold the child while pedalling, and chain protection.

14 inch bicycles - suitable for children with the height of ~80-100 cm, approximately 2.5-5 years old. Children’s bicycles of this size also have support wheels and other additional accessories, a basket, a bell, or an horn.

16 inch bicycles - suitable for children with the height of ~90-115 (117) cm, approximately 3.5-6 years old. 16” bicycles also have support wheels and accessories.

18 inch bicycles - suitable for children with the height of ~99-120 cm, approximately 3.5-6 years old. Most of them come complete without support wheels, but like smaller children’s bicycles, they have various accessories.

20 inch bicycles - suitable for children with the height of ~113-125 cm (+/-2cm), approximately 5-8 years old.

24 inch bicycles - suitable for children with the height of ~125-155 cm (+/-2cm), approximately 6-12 years old. Children’s bicycles for girls and boys have the same components. Perhaps the main difference is their color. After the parents have chosen a suitable bicycle, we recommend letting the children choose the color of the bicycle themselves.
