Lighter and more maneuverable than a 29er, but faster than a 26er, these are the 650B or 27.5" bicycles. These mountain bicycles are so called because of the 650B - 27.5" wheels they use. Choices of different frame geometry, with rear shock absorber or “hardtail" will give you the opportunity to enjoy different types of mountain biking, from Downhill or Freeride to Cross Country. The wheel size gives it a speed advantage over the 26er when covering longer distances on trails with a hard surface, while the shorter wheelbase and lighter weight win in situations where more maneuverability is required than the 29er can provide.
