For the first time, proven uvex+ technology, which represents the art of German engineering from the uvex R+D centre in Fürth, Bavaria, comes to the piste this winter. It combines an extremely impact resistant, very light outer shell, made from a specially developed thermoplastic and a shock absorbing inner shell. With uvex JAKK+, as it does with all its helmets, uvex places the highest importance on optimising ventilation. The vent openings of the built-in ventilation system can be actively opened or closed, as needed. Intakes at the front draw in fresh air, and warm air is expelled via exhaust openings at the back. The helmet also has a removable, washable liner. Hard shell helmets are very robust but relatively heavy…. until now. The JAKK+ solves the weight problem with an extremely hard but especially lightweight exterior shell with +technology. A specially developed thermoplastic material and an ultra-modern thin wall injection mould technology makes up the exterior shell of the JAKK+. This saves material and makes the helmet particularly light-weight. The interior of the helmet consists of the special EPS plastic, which distributes pressure points evenly and dampens in case of impact. As a result, the light-weight JAKK+ is impact- and shockproof and exceeds the high safety requirements of EN-standard 1077 B. IAS 3D helmet size adjustment system - Having the same head circumference does not necessarily guarantee that a helmet can provide maximum safety and comfort. The ventilation channels have been designed to quickly conduct warm air outside and pull fresh air in. Not only is the JAKK+ fashionable, light-weight and extremely impact resistant, but the helmet gains extra points for a high level of wearing comfort. Fresh air flows from the front slits into the EPS shell through far-branching interior channels. It can then circulate to the interior of the helmet without a problem thanks to the small, additional intermediate space between the octo+ system and the interior shell. When used with the new JAKK TO and TOP goggles, an elaborate JAKK vent system ensures clear vision all day. Air flowing through the helmet is accelerated to create additional suction from below. Special openings at the lower side of the helmet suck air directly into the helmet and out of the goggle.
