Lighting is a very important element of safety. There are strictly regulated rules for cycling in Lithuania. When riding on the carriageway, even during the day, a cyclist must wear a brightly colored vest with reflective elements or have reflective elements attached to their clothing in a place visible to other road users, or the bicycle must have a white light turned on in front and a red light turned on in the back. When riding on the road in the dark or in case of poor visibility, the bicycle must have a white light on in the front and a red light on in the back of the bicycle, and the cyclist must wear a reflective vest or attach reflective elements (reflectors) to his clothes in a place visible to other road users.
