Race bicycles

Going very fast on a good road - that’s what road bicycles are for. These bicycles have narrow 28” wheels and often with aerodynamic spokes. Narrow tires usually have a smooth tread. Fully integrated gear shift knobs and electronic shift systems, ensuring extremely accurate and fast shifting, are being developed. The frame of the road bicycle and all components are made very light, special light alloys and composite materials are used, resulting in a lightened aerodynamic shape. Carbon is widely used in production, which significantly reduces the weight of the bicycle. The construction of road bicycles and the permissible minimum weight for competitions are strictly regulated. The special seating position of the cyclist is adjusted in such a way as to cause as little wind resistance as possible, distribute the physical loads to the target muscle groups and reduce the load on the joints. Most road bicycles are equipped with two front chainrings, and a larger number of rear chainrings ensures smoother gear shifting and more precise gear selection, adapting to the riding rhythm.
